I seen a missed call from 01219669867 but when I tried calling back on 01219, it just said "number can't be found" or something like that. Quite odd!

Received a call today, so I decided to investigate the number using this site. I encountered a similar issue a few months back, and it seems to have popped up again. Is BT taking any measures to block these pesky numbers as complaints roll in? They might just create new ones, but wouldn’t it be more effective to keep them on the line? Imagine flipping the script and having a chat-perhaps we could track down some of these individuals in Birmingham and follow the trail. Just fed up as a homeowner!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be with BT, telling me my computer was getting loads of dodgy info and he needed to fix it. I told him to jog on and hung up straight away. There's no way BT would ring me up like that. Maybe I'm not the youngest, but I’m not daft!

I had a rather dodgy call earlier from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He mentioned there was some issue with the broadband service in my vicinity. When I mentioned that I would hang up and contact BT directly to verify his claims, he swiftly cut the line on me. I've since blocked that number - best to be safe, I reckon!

On the 28th of January, I received a rather unpleasant call from a woman with an Asian accent, who insisted she was representing BT. She made quite a dramatic claim that my broadband had been compromised and urged me to fire up my computer so she could guide me through installing some sort of protection. I politely mentioned that I’d prefer to contact BT directly to verify her identity. At that, she abruptly hung up on me. A quick call to BT confirmed my suspicions - it was all a scam.

Got a call from a guy who sounded very indian, saying there was an issue with my internet router. I told him there’s no way he’s connecting to my PC. Definitely a scam - my internet’s working perfectly and I run scans daily since I own a computer repair business anyway :)

I contacted BT earlier today regarding numerous phone calls I’ve been receiving from both male and female voices, all seemingly with a South Asian accent, insisting that my internet service was on the verge of being disconnected! BT confirmed it’s a total scam; they assured me that they would never reach out in such a manner. They advised me to disregard any further calls from this number. Quite a nuisance, really!

Got a call from some bloke in India who laughed at how I said hello, then went into his usual dodgy scam patter. I ended up yelling "nonsense" as loud as I could and slammed the phone down. Seriously, why can't these muppets be tracked and stopped for good?

Honestly fed up with attempting to report these nasty callers, there’s gotta be some kinda reason why they’re still getting away with it all this time. Feels like the phone companies might be in on it or something dodgy’s happening behind the scenes. How come they’re still running despite all the complaints? They’re so rude, spewing lies like it’s nothing, just a total pain. I’m thinking of ditching my landline completely. If a company lets its loyal customers deal with this rubbish, then they don’t deserve my cash at all.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, said there was a problem with our router. I said we’d contact BT ourselves if anything was wrong. Then he just goes “oh god” and disconnects. Definitely not BT and seemed pretty dodgy to me.

This afternoon, I got a phone call from a woman with a strong Indian accent who said she was calling on behalf of BT. It was quite difficult to follow her properly. She mentioned there were some complaints about my internet router. Just to hear what she’d say, I told her my connection was running slow. She offered to check it out for me. When I asked if this could only be sorted over the phone, she confirmed it had to be done that way. I just said goodbye and ended the call. The number was 01214459 867.

This number rang my dad and he handed me his phone because he was having a hard time understanding the guy on the other end, sounded like an Asian bloke. I asked where he was calling from and he said Wolverhampton. Then I asked where exactly that was in England, but he kept wanting me to hand the phone back to my dad. I explained that my dad gave me the phone since he couldn't get what the guy was saying. Then suddenly the call was cut off. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

there's no way a router can be 'under attack', that’s just bollocks from whoever called you. sounds like a right muppet to me! best thing you can do is save mistergroup s.r.o on your phone and block all these dodgy calls. if you can’t be bothered, just reply with "pentonville prison maternity ward" - they get all confused and hang up pretty quick. then just use mistergroup s.r.o to sort out the rest of the twats calling you.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with BT, saying my router was being hacked. They asked me to hit Ctrl and R to open a window that supposedly displayed errors on my computer. I asked them for my customer account number, which they couldn’t provide. After that, they tried to get me to let them connect via TeamViewer, but I ended the call. The person sounded quite rude throughout.

Received a call from an Asian lady around 10:15 this morning, purporting to be from BT and mentioning an issue with my internet connection. Her speech was rather hesitant, giving the impression that she was following a prepared script. Out of sheer curiosity, I kept on the line, but I've now decided to add the number to my blocked list after noticing that others have had similar experiences. Best to be on the safe side as it seems they may try to reach out again!

Down here in Brighton, there’s a lot of chatter about Uber drivers. The council made it clear that folks with a criminal record aren’t allowed to work as cabbies, but it seems Uber doesn't always stick to that. Honestly, I wouldn't feel safe letting my daughter jump in an Uber; you never really know who's behind the wheel. They could be someone fresh out of prison for all you know. Even the driver’s photo on the app doesn’t guarantee much - it really doesn’t reassure me.

On Friday, 20th January 2017, I received a call from a woman purporting to be with BT. She mentioned there was an issue with my internet service and insisted that I switch on my computer or laptop so she could assist me in resolving it. I explained that I had a prior engagement. Surprisingly, she said she would ring me again today, Monday, 23rd January, which she indeed did. Her name was Rose, and she had what sounded like an Asian accent. She urged me to power up my laptop and press the Windows key along with "R". I informed her that I'd previously contacted BT and was warned that this was a fraudulent call. She became increasingly combative and aggressive. Eventually, she slammed down the phone.

got a call on the house phone yesterday, caller id showed the number but we don’t pick up if we don’t know who it is. my answerphone says something like, “we don’t take calls from withheld or unavailable numbers, but if you leave a message, we might call back if needed.” no voicemail came through though. i always add these sorts of numbers under ‘junk - ignore’ on my phone, helps me spot repeat telemarketers without having to keep track of loads of random calls.
