I got a call from this number, saying it was Amazon on an automated voice, warning me about some dodgy activity on my account. They mentioned a purchase of an iPhone costing over £1000 that would be taken from my bank. They told me to press 1 or 2 to report it. Funny thing is, an hour before that, a different 0121 number (0121 435 5192) called me with the exact same message. I checked all my accounts thoroughly and there's nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to trick people!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the diabetes prevention programme, asking for my thoughts since I’ve taken part. But if a caller starts by wanting my date of birth and I didn’t ring them first, I just hang up. I’d rather be cautious than risk anything dodgy.

Got a call from this number earlier saying they were my internet company. But as soon as I asked them to name my provider, they just ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Received a call from someone with a strong Indian accent saying they were from the NHS diabetes department. They mentioned I was in the “at risk” category, something my GP flagged up about a fortnight ago. If this is a scam, then they must have gotten the details straight from my doctor, which is strange. I answered a few of their questions but held back on others. I refused to share my landline or email. Just checked by calling the number back and turns out it’s legit - it’s the NHS diabetes referral team in Birmingham.
