The person claimed to represent Npower and was rather cordial, explaining that I could save money on my gas and electricity. It all seemed straightforward until he requested my bank details, at which point he abruptly disconnected. Quite odd, to say the least!

I've been getting calls from this number, along with a few others that seem to belong to the same parent company. Previously, I thought the best approach was to simply ignore them, but that only resulted in a brief lull of about a month before the calls started up again. Now, just yesterday, they've ramped up their efforts and are ringing me four to five times each day! I've received nearly 20 calls from this number throughout the past week. I picked up on the first ring, yet they seemed unable to hear my voice, despite me hearing the representative clearly when she mentioned she was from N-Power to chat about my account. However, I closed that account over a year and a half ago, so I haven’t bothered answering any subsequent calls. It all feels a bit fishy, if you ask me. If N-Power genuinely wishes to reach out, I’d prefer they send a letter. They already have my address, and I’m certainly not sharing it over the phone!

In the last thirteen weeks, we've received calls from this number roughly eight times. Regrettably, we called the number (with "141") and even left a message asking them not to contact us again. When I inquired about how they obtained my number, they mentioned it was sourced from my last online payment. I found that rather amusing since I don't actually use N Power, nor do I handle any bills! So, I made the point that it seems rather dodgy and could imply they had my information unlawfully. After that, I hung up! I'm tempted to answer next time with something like "Hello, Essex Crime and Fraud Squad!" and see how they respond!
