Some bloke rang me saying he was from BT, claiming I’d been on dodgy sites that could put nasty viruses on my stuff! I told him I was busy and asked if he could ring back later. After I hung up, I decided to ring BT myself to check. Turns out it wasn't BT at all - just a scammer as I thought. Obviously, I blocked the number straight away. BT advised that if anyone says they’re from BT, just tell them you’re not with BT, and apparently the same trick works for calls pretending to be from Sky and others.
