The person said after a bit of silence that they worked for BT. I told them I’m not a BT customer and didn’t trust the call, so I just ended the call. Something about it just didn’t feel like a legit call from BT at all.

Got a call on my landline from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent claiming my ‘BT’ connection was ‘at risk’. Since I don’t even use BT, I just let him go on with his scripted spiel while I carried on with my own stuff, eventually he hung up. After that, I blocked the number straight away. Tagged it as suspicious because it was a cold call and definitely not from my actual provider.

I received a call from someone who sounded Asian and struggled with their English. They claimed my BT landline was at risk. I mentioned to them that they were the ones causing the issue, and they promptly ended the call.
