I got a call from a bloke speaking with an eastern accent who said he was calling from a telecom provider about issues with my broadband. I told him my internet was fine and that I’m on the TPS, so he should not be contacting me. He seemed to have never heard of the TPS and even asked what their number was. This is definitely a scam where they trick people into giving them remote access by pretending to check broadband faults. Once inside your computer, they can steal banking info, passwords, emails from friends and family, and more. These calls are really risky - watch out!
