I received a call purporting to be from BT, claiming there was an issue with my internet connection. The automated message urged me to press 1 to connect with a representative. Initially, it was just a pre-recorded voice, but then a real person came on the line. It’s becoming quite the nuisance, as I get these types of calls almost daily, threatening to disconnect me or similar scare tactics! What’s ridiculous is that the majority of these numbers are phantom ones that aren’t even traceable when I dial 1471. Is there any way to put a stop to these bothersome calls? I’m averaging about two or three of them per day at this point!
