Got a call from +441213687962, someone said they’re from a university doing a mental health survey. I told them I wasn’t interested and they just ended the call. After checking on here, it seems it’s a scam number, so pleased I didn’t get involved. I’ve blocked it straight away.

Got a call from a woman who claimed she was with my Housing Association, sounded like she knew my name and where I lived as well. Bit worrying, to be honest.

Got a call saying they were from Leeds Uni looking for management to do some survey. This is the third time they've rung, and every time it's a different excuse. Pretty confusing stuff.

Some bloke called saying he was Aaron from the Uni of Warwick's Enterprise Centre. I told him I’d had similar calls before and that Warwick Uni had told me these were dodgy scammers. I told him to stop ringing me and then blocked the number. No clue what they're trying to get from me, but I checked with Warwick Uni and they said these RS calls are nothing to do with them at all.

Got a call from someone named Richard who said he was with the Business Innovation Research Centre at Gloucester Uni. He wanted to ask me a few simple questions about my business. I asked if he could send the questions over email instead, but he said the project was designed to be done only by phone.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with National Innovation, supposedly on the government's behalf. She wanted to chat with the business owner or the top manager about some issues related to the business climate and a decline or something. I told her the person she was asking for wasn’t around and that no one here would be interested in taking part in any kind of survey. She ended the call politely after that.

This number rang me again earlier, and she was insisting she was with the Government's Enterprise Centre. I told her once more we're not interested in doing their survey and asked her to stop bothering us with these calls.

A woman called, said her name was Rachel and she claimed to be from the Enterprise Centre at Warwick University. She wanted to talk to a manager regarding product manufacturing and availability. I told her we don’t do surveys and she just said alright before hanging up. I looked up the number here afterwards and realised it was obviously a scam, so I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call from someone with a Scottish accent, said they were from SEFE Energy but I swear they called me yesterday pretending to be someone else. Sounded fishy as anything. Definitely going to block that number. They’re from around Birmingham, I think.

Someone rang saying they were from Warwick University and wanted info about how businesses had suffered during the pandemic. They kept pushing that the survey had to be done over the phone and absolutely wouldn’t accept answers through email. Felt dodgy to me, pretty sure it was a scam.

I got a call from some bloke pretending to be from the government, asking about whether we send stuff abroad or have any overseas clients. I told him straight that we don’t export at all and have no customers outside the country. Then he had the cheek to reply with "ok that sounds a bit dodgy." Definitely a scam in my book.

On Monday, I got a call from someone saying they were with Warwick Uni, doing a government survey about mental health. I told them the person they wanted wasn’t around, and they said they’d ring back later. I looked up the number afterwards and saw some dodgy reviews, so I flagged it. When they called again today, I told them we never take part in surveys and mentioned I’d checked the number here and it’s marked as a scam. The lady just said alright, have a good one, and then hung up!

Just to clear it up, it wasn’t really the Bank of England, just some bloke saying they were doing a survey for them. It all sounded a bit dodgy so I asked how I could be certain it wasn’t a con. Good thing I kept my details to myself, because from now on it looks like just another one of those scam setups.
