Got a call from these lot earlier, they knew me by name and even said my old address. Told them I wasn’t there anymore and gave them the new one as Winson Green Prison. Got a random call from someone with a foreign accent but a very British sounding name. I’m not one for chatting to cold callers so I just told him to hold on and then left my phone alone. It took him around five minutes before he finally gave up and hung up. Think I’ll try this with other cold callers and see how long they stick around for.

Got a call from a Nigerian bloke using this number, asking for me by my last name. I told him that the name he mentioned wasn’t mine, gave him a fake name and said I wasn’t keen on whatever he was trying to push. Since then, I’ve had three more unwanted calls this week asking for the fake name I gave that friendly Nigerian chap! Looks like he went and sold my number and the fake details I fed him. Every caller this week claims I supposedly filled out some kind of claim form.

I keep getting about 6 or 7 calls every day from these folks. I've told them loads of times to take my number off their list but they keep ringing. I asked to talk to a manager or supervisor but they say no one is around. Even blocking their numbers doesn’t stop the calls. It’s so annoying!

Just like loads of other people, I get these calls too. Since I’m the only one who knows my landline number, I don’t hold back and start off with a proper rant as soon as I pick up. They might ring me over and over during the day, but I have big speakers and sometimes blast really loud tunes or shrill noises into the receiver. Hopefully, they’ll catch on and stop putting their workers through that. Honestly, I’m fed up with this firm ringing me, but at least the calls have slowed down a bit now.

The bloke might have been doing some market research, which aint against the law. Companies and the Government need folks to do that kinda stuff. But it'd be nice if he told me straight who he was working for and why he was calling. When I asked, he just wouldn’t say. He knew my name and address, then asked for more info "for security reasons" which sounded like a load of rubbish to me. I struggled to understand him, told him so, and then he just mumbled and hung up. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

I just switched over to EE and haven’t given out my number to anyone, yet the calls began the very day the line was activated. They either show up as this number, withheld, or from abroad, but it’s always the same lot, "Ask UK". They’re really rude, nosy and super irritating!! They call me every single day, sometimes as many as 4 times daily. One time, they even called at 10:50pm. Was so annoyed!! Got three calls within just 5 hours and when I finally managed to speak to someone, they said my info was taken from public records. But how? My number is ex-directory. I just switched providers and now use a BT line. Since then, I've had far more dodgy calls in 5 months than I did in 12 years with TalkTalk, where I never had a single nuisance call. Feels like BT or their partners are handing out details. And when you challenge the callers, they just hang up - no politeness to even stick around. The firms behind these calls really shouldn't be teaching their staff to be so rude.

Had another call from these lot today, this time it was a different bloke after the first one was proper rude. The second guy seemed clueless about the earlier chat. I figured I’d play along and gave them some wrong info, then spent about 5 minutes going through what felt like a survey, probably to send me junk about stuff. One minute he asked if I’d back guide dogs for the blind, then suddenly, “Do you have a conservatory?” Weird questions. They’ve been ringing at least once every weekday since November and I’m sure they’re after older or vulnerable folks.

What really threw me was that they already knew my full name and address. When I asked how they got that info, the bloke with a really thick Indian accent just cut the call off. It said you could press 1 to opt out of surveys, but if you do, they then start asking for your personal info like your name. Bit weird, really. They said they weren’t selling anything. I asked if they could hold for a sec while I checked them online, but they said they were short on time. After a moment, they just hung up when I stopped to read the info I found.

Got a ring from that exact number, and I told them straight up not to bother calling again. I only chat with folks I actually know. My daughter had already given me a heads-up about dodgy numbers like that. They then said someone would pop round to my place to speak to me. I didn’t give anything away and flat out refused, saying my daughter would be there to handle it anyway. They've kept ringing a few times over the past weeks, but my block list is packed, so no clue how to put an end to it.

this number called me this arvo claiming to be from ask uk. they wanted me to verify my address (which they already had). when i refused to share info over the phone, the bloke told me to "bugger off." ive only had this phone number for a couple weeks, so it’s probably been passed around by sky.

This number has rung me a few times over the past few days. I never pick up on unknown numbers and recently got a nuisance call blocker which somehow let this one slip through, so I’ve just blocked it myself now. They left a voicemail claiming it was from HMRC saying I owe money and to press 1 to speak to someone about my case... honestly, like I’m going to fall for that! I can see how this would panic folks though and I definitely intend to report it properly.

they keep ringing me nonstop, and when i say i don't want to talk, they try to make me stick around to explain why i wont answer their questions. i've asked them loads of times to take me off their calling list but no reply at all. seriously, companies like this should be shut down. next time they call, i might just have to get rude with them, no other choice left.

This lady named Angel keeps ringing me non stop at home, and honestly I have no clue what she’s trying to pitch or get out of it. She just repeats the same questions again and again. I told her to take me off their list and never call again, but guess what? She calls back anyway. They call from overseas numbers but it shows their own number, early Saturday mornings usually. Luckily I have a phone that lets me block these numbers, but I’m having to block at least a couple every week now. When will there be proper laws against this kind of data selling and annoying cold calls? It’s so invasive and creepy, pretty much like someone knocking on your door in the middle of the night.

Got a call at 8:55am on a Saturday from a bloke saying he was Mark Williams, had all my info - name, address, the lot! I asked if he even knew the time, he just repeated where he was calling from. Asked to speak to a manager and he just said “nope, can’t do that!” then wished me a nice day and hung up! A nice day after waking me up before 9 on my day off? Seriously? Tried calling back but the number only works Monday to Friday 9-5. Funny how it’s Monday to Friday only, huh!
