Got a call earlier about some sort of appliance insurance, covering everything from my telly to the washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and even the microwave. It was a deal for £7.50 and they said if anything broke down it’d be sorted without charging extra. I politely thanked her and hung up.

Had a ring from these lot claiming I was due £220 and needed my bank info to give me a refund. I just told them off politely to buzz off. When they didn’t hang up, I jokingly said my cat enjoys calls and popped the phone in her little box. They kept chatting away for nearly 20 minutes! The cat seemed quite chuffed with all the attention though.

01213680991. A man with an Indian accent claimed to be from Sky Connect. I hung up but they called back immediately, this time another Indian guy saying he was a supervisor at Sky Connect. I told them Sky would get in touch via email, but he said it was urgent because my contract ended. He offered a one-off payment of £80 or a discounted price if I paid for 2 years upfront. I said I’d call Sky directly to check and then hung up. After reading other comments about this number, I’m glad I didn’t stay on the line. I’d never hand over money to someone I don’t know on the phone.
