I received a rather dubious call from someone masquerading as my landlord, trying to get me to verify my name, address, and date of birth under the pretense of reviewing my rent account. Out of the blue, they claimed that I owed money on my rent and insisted that I pay £300 to settle the matter or face court action. When I explained that I simply couldn’t afford that amount, they suddenly complained about the signal being poor and abruptly ended the call. I've not heard back from them since, which raises my suspicions even further.

Just a heads up, when you sign up a domain with accurate info and skip the privacy setting, your info becomes publicly visible. You can check by googling: whois mydomain[###] - so dont blame your domain provider if your data ends up out there! Looks like these callers mainly go after businesses, so if you just say a casual "hello" without mentioning your company, they usually say something cheeky and then drop the call!

Honestly, this is not a legit company calling you, the number they use isnt even active. They’re using stolen numbers. If you block this one, they’ll just call from another.
