Yesterday, we got a call like this about some HMRC tax debt. The lady told my hubby the cops would be there in 20 minutes and that he’d be locked up for ages. Not sure if the call was expensive though?? They didn’t ask for any money, and when he asked her stuff, she just hung up on him. Proper rude woman.

Someone rang me claiming to be from hmrc saying I owed them 250 quid in taxes. When I asked for more details, they suddenly said to ignore it and that they’d be taking my old boss to court instead. It sounded really dodgy so I asked for more info, but they just hung up on me. If you get calls like this, try to ask loads of questions and get the caller’s name so you’ve got something to go on.

I got a voicemail from this number earlier today and it had the same threatening tone, saying if me or my lawyer didn’t respond, then good luck dealing with the consequences! It’s unbelievable these calls still manage to get through. I knew straight away it was a scam but I’m sure there’s folk out there who’d be really upset and anxious over this. It’s totally wrong and should be illegal.

Some bloke with a dodgy robot voice keeps threatening me about some lawyer stuff. I told him me and my solicitor ain't on good terms after court last week. Been ringing this muppet non-stop every minute I've been up since last night, shouting abuse. I ain’t stopping till I track down this tosser’s address. If anyone manages to find it, please let me know and drop it here, I'll keep an eye out.

I never picked up because I don't usually answer calls from unknown numbers. They left a really scary message saying I was in serious trouble (didn't say why tho) and if me or my solicitor didn't call back, they'd 'wish me luck for what's coming'. Got a call today from someone claiming to be HMRC, threatening to take my house, car, and even send me to jail, saying I’d lied on my tax returns. I actually do my own tax stuff, so it really scared me. They told me I owed £856 and to go buy a PayPal voucher from a supermarket. The caller sounded Indian and phoned back, so I recorded the chat. What I heard was honestly shocking, really intimidating stuff over the phone. These people should be nailed and given a proper punishment, I mean seriously, if they’re scammers, they deserve nothing less. This kind of thing is just not on. Loads of folks will find this scary and might end up getting scammed for real. They really need to be stopped.

Some bloke from this number rang me asking if I’d chatted with any solicitors about my case. He said I was caught up in tax fraud and that they were the middlemen helping sort stuff out with HMRC. I phoned HMRC on 0300 200 3300 to check about these dodgy calls and they directed me to a site where anyone can report this rubbish. I’ve already put the number on www.actionfraud.police.uk, and you lot should do the same. These muppets scam loads of honest folks out of their cash and peace of mind.

This seems really dodgy. I’d just logged into my Government Gateway (HMRC) online and was expecting a call on my landline with a security code when suddenly my mobile buzzed from this number. I didn’t pick up but checked the voicemail later - it sounded quite threatening, and weirdly they said "Good Luck" if I chose not to get back to them. Obviously, I got rid of it and ignored the call. I guess it was just bad timing since the mobile they called isn’t the one linked to my HMRC account. Still, pretty unsettling.
