I got a call from an Asian lady with a really thick accent who hardly spoke English properly, talking about cutting down my energy bills. It was so obviously a SCAM. They really need to crack down on these calls. It’s not just annoying, but imagine if they called an old person who might fall for it - that could be really harmful.

I ended the call immediately and decided to ring 1471. After around ten seconds when my phone rang again, I answered it and heard an intercom woman say, “If your phone’s got a star key, press it now.” Seems like they might’ve planned the hang-up on purpose, but who can really tell?

Got a call from someone asking for a name I'd never come across before. I said no, then they tried again asking for the same person. I refused once more and after that, they just said alright and ended the call. The accent was hard to place, maybe Asian or maybe South American.
