They said they were some sort of call blocking company but I had a hunch it was a total scam.

I had a similar thing happen where after I reported the first call, another one came through from some guy claiming to be a senior operator. When I said I wasn't gonna talk about my credit card, he just ended the call straight away.

Kept saying "hello" over and over but only got silence from a robot on the other end.

Not sure if the person on the phone was legit. They claimed they could stop all the spam calls, but then asked for my credit card expiry date. I said no and they just ended the call.
