We've been constantly bombarded with calls from the same bloke claiming to be from 118 Info, requesting our business details for some directory. They keep using different numbers, all starting with the 0121 code. It feels rather suspicious, as surely these callers would know our business name if they were legitimate!

I reached out for a complimentary business listing via UpMyStreet, only to find out that this particular company manages those listings. I gave them a ring earlier today after receiving a message. The gentleman I conversed with was exceptionally polite and assured me he would promptly remove our details if we requested it.

So, here’s the deal with the BT 118. They claimed they were with BT, but to be honest, it didn't quite add up. The chap on the other end hung up the moment we casually mentioned, "Naturally, being with BT means you’d already know our address and company details." Quite the peculiar exchange, I must say!

He claimed to be associated with BT 118, but interestingly, he never mentioned the 118 bit, only referring to "BT." We quickly realised he wasn’t genuine since he hung up shortly after we remarked, "Surely, if you’re with BT, you ought to know our address and the name of our business!"
