Some bloke rang me up claiming he was calling from British Telecom, wanting to chat about my internet. Thing is, I don't even use B.T. for my internet. Then he starts saying that all internet connections are handled by B.T., which can’t be true since Open Reach manages the lines these days. Gave me a big red flag - definitely sounded like a scam to me.
