Like others here, I got a call saying my Windows PC was sending error reports to some central server. I told her if she wasn’t fibbing, then someone else must have been telling fibs to her.

I just got a call from this number, some woman with a foreign accent claimed there were issues detected on my PC. I decided to humour her a bit. Then she put me through to a bloke with the same accent. We chatted for about 7 minutes, and I asked him how they identified the problem and tied it to me. He said my phone number was linked to the computer. I told him it was a scam, and he asked how I could say that. I replied that I actually don’t own a computer. Fingers crossed they’ll mark me as a waste of time and won’t bother me again.
