Got a call from someone saying "I'm Catherine, ringing about an accident you were involved in, which wasn’t your fault." I asked for details like when it happened and which car was involved, but she just kept going with her script, talking louder to drown me out! She didn’t or wouldn’t answer any of my questions. They rang me about 4 times within a quarter of an hour, so I picked up. The caller was looking for a Mr Darren Cambridge who supposedly lives at 5 Brotherton Avenue, Wakefield. I told them they’d got the wrong number, then she started asking who I was and where I lived. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from a woman named Rosie who said it was about my accident. I pretended to go along with it and she passed me on to some bloke with an Indian accent. Basically, it’s all a trick to make you think it’s legit. I kept playing along but then the guy asked for my car reg and ended up spelling out a rude word before hanging up on me. I’ve blocked this number now.
