The phone rang but they hung up just as I was about to pick up.

My mum got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent saying her debit card for paying the phone bill was nearly expired. Thing is, she never uses a debit card for that. He kept chatting away without answering her when she asked questions. In the end, she just told him to stop calling and ended the call.
