Got a call from someone claiming my debit card was due for replacement. Total rip-off, be careful out there.

Some guy who said his name was Steven called me, but he had a really strong Asian accent. He claimed the call was about my “phone line” and said my Direct Debit hadn’t been updated since March 2019. Then he went on to praise me for always paying bills on time, which was weird, and asked to update the Direct Debit by getting my debit card info. Thing is, I’ve never used Direct Debit or my debit card for my phone bill! This call was definitely dodgy and felt like a scam trying to rip me off.

I received a call from a firm named SECURE TALK, attempting to promote their phone blocking systems. The chap on the line had an Asian accent, going by the name Roger, and I could hear a few other voices in the background with a similar accent. Quite the peculiar experience!
