They claimed I was part of a bad accident, so I said I’d shattered all my bones, lost a few limbs, and was hooked up to life support. They actually sent me to a supervisor, who then rudely hung up on me when I said I probably wouldn’t make it through the day! Some folks have no manners at all!

This kinda sums up every call where there’s a 2 or 3 second pause after you pick up before they come through!

Got a call from someone saying they were told I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. When I said no, they asked if I’d had any accident in the past couple of years. After I said no again, they just said “Sorry for the bother, we’ll remove your number from our list.” But they never actually do that and ring me again within a fortnight. Best thing is to just block them.

Got two calls in less than five minutes. The caller claimed I’d been in a serious car accident and badly hurt. I told her I’ve been driving for 36 years without any crashes, but she just wouldn’t accept that. When I asked where she got her info, she said the road traffic incident unit. Then, when I asked for their contact details, she cut off the call straight away. Sounds like another firm using incorrect details, they should really double-check before arguing with someone about a crash that never happened.
