Some bloke called me, claiming he was from BT, saying my internet had been hacked or some such nonsense. He was about to start issuing instructions, but I quickly informed him that was absolute rubbish. He wouldn’t give up though-kept jabbering away without knowing my name or even who my actual provider is. It was quite off-putting. My son-in-law, who leads an IT security team for a major company, warned me about these sorts of scams. In the end, I just terminated the call. They clearly had no affiliation with BT whatsoever!
