Yesterday, I received a rather unsettling phone call aimed at my 11-year-old daughter. When I informed the caller that she was in school, the man-who had an Asian or Indian accent-queried if I was a relative. I responded affirmatively, stating that I was her mother. Just like that, he terminated the call, which left me quite anxious. In a bid to find out more, I dialled 1471 to trace the number, but upon calling it back, I was told it had been disconnected. The situation had me considering involving the authorities, but thankfully, a mate advised me to look up the number online. That's when I stumbled upon a plethora of complaints. It's absolutely baffling how he came by our phone number, let alone my daughter's name. It’s all rather unnerving, to say the least.

Just received a call on my mobile from a gentleman with a bit of an Indian/Asian accent, claiming to represent some financial advisory firm and addressing me by name. He wanted to know if I had any debts. Naturally, I inquired how he obtained my number, to which he replied that I must have reached out to their firm. I assured him that I hadn’t and requested that he take my number off their list. He persisted in asking about my financial situation, and I firmly told him it was none of his concern. His rather rude response was to tell me to ‘bugger off’ before hanging up. I’m utterly fed up with these persistent calls, especially while I’m trying to navigate through my cancer treatment. How I wish there was a way to formally report such intrusive nuisances and see some action taken!

I'm honestly becoming quite fed up. In just the past hour and a half, I've received three calls from this number. Each time I pick up, it's silence on the other end. It’s absolutely maddening! Is there a way to trace this number and put an end to these irritating calls?

I keep receiving calls from this number, and when I firmly declined to share any personal information, the person on the other end had the audacity to call me a white dog! Absolutely infuriating! I owe nothing to anyone, and I’m completely baffled as to how they obtained my details or phone number in the first place! What a bloody nuisance!

I received a rather suspect text from this loan company, promising me a £2000 loan. Naturally, I saved the number in my contacts as ‘Nuisance’. A few hours later, my phone rang with that very same number, but I chose to ignore it. I’ve taken to labelling all these pesky callers; my contact list is full of unflattering titles, I assure you! It’s rather unsettling, isn’t it? This number keeps calling me daily, yet every time I answer, there’s utter silence on the other end. Quite spooky, if you ask me! x

I've noticed a rather curious pattern: when a chap answers the phone, they tend to hang up immediately, suggesting perhaps they're only keen on chatting with women. However, when a lady picks up, there's a good chance they'll engage in conversation. It does make one wonder if there's some dodgy character lurking on the other end, doesn’t it? I've experienced this myself on two occasions, and each time a man took the call, they promptly disconnected. Honestly, I reckon those making these nuisance calls should face legal consequences and be dealt with accordingly-maybe even thrown behind bars!
