Got a few missed calls and silent rings from this number earlier. Just picked up a call from them and after a long wait it finally went to a call centre. A guy with a Scouse accent asked for someone called "Gerry Wine" or something like that. I said that's not me and he just said "alright, i'll remove you from our list" and then ended the call.

Some bloke with a scouse accent called me about some damage I’d supposedly told my insurer about. I told him straight up I’d never made any claim like that so why was he being daft. Then he got a bit cheeky, questioning how it could be a scam just because he was asking about legal cover, and then he just cut the call on me 🙄

The reason we’re bombarded with scam calls, texts and emails is because hardly anyone reports them to the police. They can’t tackle what they don’t know about.
