When I picked up the call, there was nothing but silence on the other end, merely the faint din reminiscent of an office environment. I called out a hearty "hello" into the receiver, and after a bit of a wait, someone finally responded with, “Why are you answering like that?” At that point, I decided it was best to just hang up.
