Got two calls from this number. First one was just some recorded message. The second time, also a robo call, but I decided to call them back. Some bloke claimed I was being sued by HMRC for dodging tax! I found it funny and asked how they even had my info and why I hadn’t been sent anything by post. They claimed they did send something but I wasn’t having it. They ended the call. Complete time wasters and definitely a scam. Glad I didn’t give out any of my personal info.

This was total HMRC scam. Got a pre-recorded voice warning about some "sensitive matter" and threatening legal action if I didn't ring back. Got a voicemail that sounded dodgy, supposedly from HMRC. Right away, it felt off - they said it was urgent and gave a bit of a scare about legal trouble if you don’t get back to them. Thing is, HMRC usually sends letters, not phone calls, and how on earth would they have your mobile number? The message even wrapped up with an oddly friendly 'take care’ which just made me more suspicious. My advice? Don’t reply to it; just get rid of it straight away and don’t bother with it.

Got a call from what sounded like HMRC but it was one of those dodgy recorded messages saying I’m in trouble for tax evasion and my lawyer should contact some bloke called Denis about my case. Honestly, I didn’t hang about listening since HMRC wouldn’t ring me on my mobile like that, and if they’ve got a problem, they’d send a proper letter, not some robo call. Just ended it straight away and blocked the number. Don’t waste your time with these scams!

This morning at precisely 10:45, our office got a rather dubious call from an automated voice. It claimed to be Dennis Gray from HMRC, ringing in on 0121 3121627. The message insisted we should return the call and forward the information to our lawyer, as we were supposedly under investigation for tax evasion. Right away, I suspected foul play, but out of sheer curiosity, I decided to ring the number back. An individual with an accent that sounded East Asian picked up, saying, ‘Good day, this is HM Revenue and Customs. How may I assist you?’
