I got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin O2, telling me some nonsense about them shutting down certain 5G networks. I told them straight away that wasn’t true and mentioned I’m in cybersecurity, so I’d definitely know if that was happening. After that, the bloke got really nasty, muttered something I couldn’t understand that sounded quite rude, and then just hung up. Definitely a vishing scam trying to trick you into signing up for a new contract and phone. Don’t be fooled by it.
