"I received a call claiming to be from my bank's security team, but they clearly didn't have a clue about which institution I actually use. It seems the number has been cloned—what a cheek! When I questioned them, they just dropped the line. The woman's command of English was rather lacking as well."

I received a call from this number earlier today (September 4, 2024). When I picked up, I was greeted with nothing but the sound of the line disconnecting. Quite odd, isn’t it?

Earlier today, I received an automated call informing me of some dubious transactions linked to my credit card. They connected me to an individual who said she represented visa security. However, when I requested her to verify her identity, she abruptly ended the call. I had disabled the call guard feature on my phone and completely forgot to switch it back on. Quite a wake-up call, I must say!
