Got a call from a number that came up as unknown. Looked it up on this site and decided to block it straight away.

I didn’t pick up, but my phone showed the caller as “Maybe Someone” from my contacts, which was a bit odd. The voicemail recorded a message though. It started with “This is British Gas,” then the person kind of muttered something like “this isn’t anything personal” and chuckled quietly. When they figured out I wasn’t there to answer, they said in a creepy way, “You won’t forget me.” I don’t even use British Gas, so I blocked the number and flagged it!

Number came up as +44 121 296 3600 This person pretends to be from “British Gas”, ive had calls from them on at least four different numbers this year alone. Each time I block it, but they ring again with a different number after a few weeks. They first called saying they were "GoCompare". My advice is just ignore them. If you need to switch supplier or tariff, contact British Gas directly.
