They called me thrice today but just kept quiet every time.

My mum's been getting calls from this number nonstop today. I tried blocking it through TalkTalk, but the calls kept coming. Eventually, I answered, and some guy claiming to be "Alan" said he was "from the TPS." I've got pretty bad anxiety, and the constant ringing really got to me. I didn’t buy what he was saying and called him out on being a liar. He then started shouting and swearing at me, so I just hung up and tried blocking the number once more.

This number has called me three times today, with the most recent just a little while ago. The voices all sounded Asian and claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. The last caller even mentioned my postcode, which seemed odd. They told me that starting tomorrow, I shouldn't get any more annoying calls. We're already signed up with TPS, so it's frustrating to keep getting these calls. Honestly, I just hope they stop calling now.

Got a call from an Asian lady about managing phone preferences, asking me to verify my name and address because apparently our subscription was about to run out. Someone rang me saying they were from the telephone preference management, telling me they called because I’d supposedly signed up with them. They asked if I was still getting annoying calls. Thing is, I’m not actually signed up with that company, just with TPS. Once I told them that and mentioned I’d report them, they just cut me off right away.

Got three calls from this number today, all claiming to be from some telephone preference management service. Asked if I was receiving nuisance calls - told them yes, I was getting one right now! The woman on the line was Indian and really persistent. On the third call, I asked for their office address and she said, "70 Margaret Street, London." When I pushed for the postcode, she just hung up. Pretty obviously lying since the number is actually from Birmingham.

I wanted to know the guy’s name, and he just said "Bob". Then I asked what company he was with, and he claimed it was the telephone preference service (which we’re actually signed up to). I didn’t buy it. I asked for his phone number, had to ask a couple of times, then he just cut me off.
