This was the first time I received a call like this, though I had heard about them on Facebook and elsewhere. I picked up since the number was unfamiliar, and asked who was on the line. The person said, 'Chantelle Brown' and mentioned something about a car accident. I didn’t catch it properly so asked them to repeat. Then she claimed I’d been in a recent car accident, to which I replied, "No, that’s impossible - I don’t even drive!" She immediately hung up. I’ve blocked and reported the number now :)

I gave the number a ring back. On my first go, I just got a strange beeping sound, akin to a fax machine. I tried again, and it rang on for about a minute, but no one picked up. A quick search on Google led me to this website!

I just received a rather dodgy call regarding some so-called accident. It was all automated nonsense! I’d recommend just blocking that number outright.

It’s evident they’re employing some kind of auto-dialling system. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
