Get yourself a phone that has a ‘call guardian’ option. It stops any calls from numbers you don’t recognise and if they do leave a name, you can decide whether to pick up or not. I got contacted by a company called Action Direct regarding PPI. They claimed you could do a free PPI check with no hassle or annoying calls, which isn’t true at all. They’ve been constantly emailing and ringing me. Today I had about 8 silent calls going straight to voicemail. Even after putting their number on my blocked calls list, they managed to get through somehow. Then on the 9th call, a lady with a Welsh accent refused to accept my "no thanks, I don’t talk about money stuff on the phone" and just kept trying. I ended up hanging up.
