Today, around 12:15pm on Thursday 12/05/16, I got a call from a man with an Indian accent on this number: 01212885519. He claimed it was about a car crash I was supposedly involved in, but I haven’t been in any accident. When I asked how he got my details, he mentioned something about an accident investigations office giving it to him. I told him to take my number off his records since I’m ex-directory, which I definitely am. No idea how they managed to get my number though. While I was still questioning him, he just hung up on me. I've blocked the number now.

totally the same thing happened to me like everyone else said. my number is registered with the TPS but it seems to make no difference. companies just keep using our details and passing them around to other firms. no clue who’s buying or selling the info, it’s a complete mess.

Got a call from 01212885519 today, an Indian guy claiming he was from the road traffic department. He said someone at my address was involved in an accident within the last 3 years. I’m a pensioner and currently going through family health issues and a recent loss, so it really scared me a lot. Honestly, it made me feel quite unwell. There’s no way this kind of thing should be legal, it’s just cruel.

Got a call from a "Rachel" with an Indian accent, claiming she was from Accident Compensation UK Ltd. She was asking for info about someone involved in a car crash. She kept saying they had legal grounds to get the details to update their files, and it wasn't about any claim for compensation or anything. Today I noticed this number showing up in my call log on my BT Truecall device. It’s brilliant because it makes anyone not in my approved contacts say their name before the phone even rings. This person didn’t say a word, so the phone stayed silent. Bit of a pain having to get this phone just to block these types of calls, but honestly it’s stopped all the pest calls so far and I’m chuffed with it! I’m not linked to BT or anyone working there, just seems like they’re the only ones offering this kind of thing in a phone right now.

Looks like every review here is spot on. Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, telling me I’d had an accident sometime in the past three years. I told him no way, then he reckoned someone in my family had. Problem is, they live a good 200 miles away, so I can’t see how he made that link. I told him my number wasn’t listed anywhere and demanded he take me off his call list or I’d be reporting him.

Somebody with an asian accent called me claiming I or someone at my place was in a little accident. I fibbed and said it wasn’t minor at all, in fact my whole family had passed away. They just hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Accident Investigation Unit at Watermans Solicitors. Watermans are legit lawyers in Scotland but have absolutely no links with this lot. These scammers are just lowlifes with nothing else to do except take advantage of decent people. Someone needs to track them down and stop them.

This number keeps ringing me up, even tho I never put my number on any do not call list. Did a quick search online and came across a dodgy site linked to it (Accident Injury Advisors). Their 'Media Centre' is just a bunch of copied articles from the Mirror! The 'About Us' section is hilarious, looks like they just made up names and pinched pictures from Google! Honestly, this so-called 'business' looks like a total scam and should be steered clear of at all times.

So this bloke, claiming to be from some 'Accident Investigating Service', rings me up telling me I was in some accident. At first, he wouldn't say who he was or where he was calling from. Only when I threatened to report the number to the coppers did he bother giving any details. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

I keep getting constant calls about car crashes. I've told them loads of times to stop calling me and to take my number off their list, but it doesn't help at all. The callers sound Asian and are usually really hard to understand. They’re such a pain, and honestly, something serious needs to be done to put an end to this.

I got a call from this number but there was nobody speaking on the line, just a recorded voice at the end saying 'goodbye'. Caller ID showed as Unknown.

Both me and my other half noticed this number showing up after we checked with 1471. Neither of us got a voicemail or anything, and when we called back, no one answered. It got us a bit anxious since we’ve got relatives living in Birmingham and thought it could be related to them. Plus, we’re both off the public phone lists and signed up with TPS, so it’s a mystery why this person was trying to contact us.

I got a call that seemed like a complete scam. The person on the line was really rude and just brushed me off, claiming my insurance had reached out to them about some accident. When I asked for their company’s name, they flat out refused to tell me!

Got a call today from some Indian bloke claiming to be with an "Accident Investigating Service", saying I was in some crash I apparently forgot about. I just blocked the number straight away and reported the whole thing to the telly phone police. Sorted!

Some bloke with a foreign accent rang up claiming he worked for the accident investigation team. He said they thought someone using my number had been in an accident sometime in the past three years. I told him no, that wasn’t right, and he just cut me off straight away.

Got a call at 10:55, and a guy with what sounded like an African accent started off, "Hi, Dominic here, from Accident Insurance..." I cut him off quick with, "No thanks, that’s a scam," then just ended the call. The number was 01212 885519.

On the 28th of November 2015 at about 1:30pm I got a call but no one said anything when I picked up. Tried ringing them back loads of times but first there was no answer for about eight calls and then I got their answerphone. Left them a message saying I was aware they were scammers and I’d report them. Kept calling after that, and once again after several attempts I ended up with their voicemail, so I left a rather cheeky message. I’ll keep ringing them now and then for a bit of fun, to see how they handle it.

When I asked for any details like an address tied to my number, or if it was a car or bike involved, or who my insurer is, they just couldn't seem to provide any of that. So yeah, I just hung up on them.
