I received a call from a number that's been hidden, but they were using the number 01212881712 as their so-called 'helpline.' It appears to be a rather elaborate scam revolving around PPI claims, designed to lure unsuspecting individuals into purchasing a UKASH voucher before they promise to release your funds. They have no authority to determine if you’re eligible for a PPI claim, and if you happen to be gullible enough to hand over a voucher code, they’ll simply pocket the cash without ever delivering on their end of the deal. I wasn’t taken in by this con and instead took action by reporting it to the UK Police’s Action Fraud hotline at 0300 123 2040. I urge anyone else who encounters this to do the same!

I've received another call regarding this matter, making it the second one in the last three weeks. When they started asking about a UKASH voucher, I remembered the previous call and did a bit of digging, only to discover it was a scam last time. The caller had the audacity to threaten me with further calls. I made it clear that I wouldn't be picking up their calls anymore and that I'd escalate the matter to the authorities. It was yet another attempt to fish for PPI claims, I see.
