I got a call regarding payments and energy supply stuff. When I tried to find out who exactly was calling, the person suddenly started acting pretty rude. So, I just ended the call and decided to block the number.

Got a call from a bloke who somehow knew my full name. He started asking if I’m paying the energy bills for the house I live in. I asked him which house he meant, and he just said “your current house.” When I asked him to say the address, he wouldn’t give me one. Then he asked again if I pay the energy bills. I told him I couldn’t confirm anything unless he proved this call was legit, which he didn’t. He just hung up after that. Checked online and this number’s dodgy, so I’ve blocked it now.

Somebody phoned saying they were from Octopus Energy, trying to find out who my current energy provider was. They kept pushing to connect me to Octopus for a no-strings quote, but I told them a few times I wasn’t interested since I’m on a fixed rate with my supplier and happy with it, plus I don’t want to pay any cancellation fees. The bloke ended the call by snapping “well, you’re just paying more than necessary then!” and hung up. Properly pushy and quite rude, so I’ve blocked the number now.
