Got a call from someone claiming to be with 121 utilities, saying they could help me cut costs on my gas and electric bills. Next thing I know, they were trying to put me through to Scottish Power for a quote. I just said no thanks, quite nicely.

Got a call from a lady called Jasmina who claimed to be from a utility firm, somewhere in Birmingham. She actually knew my full name which freaked me out a bit - no idea how they got that info. Reckon it's gotta be a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number already.

Got a call today about switching my energy provider, even though I haven't been renting anywhere for ages. I just told them to stop calling and blocked the number.

Got another cold call from a number starting 0121, I never pick up those. This was the second call in a day from that same prefix, and I've already blocked the first. Also had a call from a private number, some person saying I was in a car crash - no way to block those! So far, three calls all within 20 mins this morning, it's really annoying.

They used my first name, which I hardly go by, then just cut the call right after I said ‘yes’.
