I got a phone call from someone saying they were with Secure Life. When I searched online, Secure Life turned out to be located in Swansea. But weirdly, the call came from a Birmingham area code, 0121 285 4892. When I asked about it, the person said they were working remotely from home, but in the background, it sounded like a busy call centre with loads of people chatting. I wasn't convinced it was legit, so I told them I wasn’t interested. They didn’t push any further after I brought up the odd phone number.

My phone showed a warning telling me the call might be a scam, so I didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

These folks just switch a number ☹️ and keep calling about life insurance. Don’t share any info with them, even though they seem to know who you’re with. When I called my provider, they said those callers can’t access your policy. I guess they’re hoping you’ll move your policy over the phone so they can snag your bank details. Luckily, I use an account that’s only got my phone bill in it, so there’s no money there for them to steal. Seriously, don’t hand over any of your details to these people.
