It seems that "Crime and Safety Awareness UK" is supposedly back in our neck of the woods, providing complimentary Emergency Response Units. However, the name "Clare Cavendish" gave off a bit of an odd vibe, as if it could belong to a robot or something similar!

Got another annoying call today from that AQL lot, same rubbish as before.

Got a phone from someone calling herself Clare Cavendish, said she was from Crime and Safety Awareness UK, said something about free "ERUs" in the local area. She was really dodgy about details. Told me it was her initial call, even though I told her I'd heard from her before and she just ignored that, no sorry or nothing.

Someone called saying my bank card had expired and now I wasn’t safe from annoying calls anymore.

Is it just me or does BT seem totally useless when it comes to dealing with these scam calls? Makes me wonder if they're cashing in on it too and don't really care. Honestly, shouldn't Ofcom step in and put an end to all this nonsense once and for all?

The number was unfamiliar and by the time I checked my phone the call had already ended. Looks like it's just a pest so I’ll be blocking it from now on.

I got a call saying if I don't press 1 right now, my service will be cut off. Pretty obvious scam to me.

It would have been rather helpful if they’d uttered a word when I picked up the phone, as it might’ve given me a clue as to what type of con they were trying to pull off!
