I got a call from this number and it seemed like they knew the name of an elderly person in my family. I was quick enough to pick up and tried calling them back, but they just ended the call straight away.

I just received a call from them, and while they had my address spot on, they completely butchered my name. They insisted I required some services, and I firmly let them know that such decisions are mine alone. The caller was rather pushy, repeatedly referring to me as "darling," which I found quite off-putting. I made it clear that I had absolutely no intention of engaging their company’s services and that I wasn’t their pet name. To my annoyance, they even asked for someone with a completely different name! I told them to take my details off their list and to cease all communications. However, having seen similar remarks from others, I’m braced for another bout of harassment from them soon enough.

Got a call from a woman asking about damp proofing. I told her I’m registered with TPS so she really shouldn’t be cold calling me. She just laughed and said ‘You wouldn’t be my love if I was blocked from calling you.’ So I looked it up and yep, I’m definitely on the list. I decided to ring the number back, a bloke answered, and when I told him off for it, he just called me an idiot and hung up! Unreal.

He was really cheeky and said “What do you know about it?” I told him my mum’s got Alzheimer’s and I hold Power of Attorney for her, but he didn’t care and stayed rude. I ended up hanging up three times, yet he kept ringing back immediately. After a while, I just left the phone on and listened in.

When I told him I wasn’t interested, he suddenly got nasty and threw out a really offensive racial slur - something like "black c###". Proper shocked and upset that he’d be so racist just because I wasn’t buying. Absolutely unprofessional behaviour, and I’m seriously thinking about getting my lawyer involved over this!

This company kept ringing my mum even though we told them loads of times not to bother her. I had to get on the phone myself and made it clear at least six or seven times that they should stop and not come round. Eventually, after a bunch of back-and-forth, they phoned back, said sorry and said they’d scrap the visit. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep on ringing her up regardless.

Somebody from this firm who puts coatings on walls rang me. I told the bloke nicely that neither me nor my partner would be interested. He then said he'd remove us from their list and we haven't had any calls after that. Maybe if you’re polite to callers, they treat you the same? Nothing to worry about really.

They pester you with their offers, and when you express disinterest, they just keep on pitching different products, round and round, until you eventually end the conversation out of sheer frustration. To make matters worse, they then bombard you with relentless calls multiple times a day. It’s simply maddening!
