Got a call from this number while I was at work, they said they were from some Government agency and started asking all these questions about my company. They said it was just a quick survey, but it dragged on forever and I was trying to get stuff done. In the end, I just hung up. They’ve called back around four times since then. My phone number isn’t listed and is meant to be private, which is why I was thoroughly irritated to get a call from these shady characters. Thankfully, I won’t have to deal with them again since I’m signed up for Choose to Refuse. I promptly reported and blocked the number. I told them the person they wanted wasn’t available. When will they be back? I said they were on holiday until next week. Then today, I get another call, and they want to speak to me by name, again saying they’re from HSE. I knew straight away it was a load of rubbish. They claimed to be from the Legal Services Board. I got in touch with the actual Legal Services Board, and they said they had no idea about it. According to the Law Society of England and Wales, these scammers have tricked solicitors out of millions. If they ring you, tell them you’ll reach out to the police - and definitely follow through because the police already have loads of complaints about these fraudsters.

I got a call asking for feedback about a phone call I supposedly made to the British Transport Police back in January last year. I do ring BTP now and then for work, but how do they even know about that particular call? Bit creepy if you ask me!

They just keep calling no matter what. This is the third time they've rung, and each time we've told them we're not interested. They claimed it was some kind of government survey. Feels like they're just after info or trying to push some product. Won't be so patient if they call again.

They said they were from Wessex Water and somehow had some of my details - like my name and the exact day I’d actually phoned Wessex Water a few weeks back. Thankfully, I was too tied up to answer properly. Since then, they’ve rung me 3 more times in 5 days, even once as late as 8pm. I checked with Wessex Water and they confirmed it’s nothing to do with them. It’s really worrying that these people have managed to get hold of my info. I DEFINITELY SUGGEST NOT ANSWERING OR GIVING OUT ANY DETAILS!!

This number has called me twice now. The woman on the line claimed she was from the UK government, which I didn’t really buy. She had no particular person she wanted to speak to, and when I mentioned the boss wasn’t around, she just asked who else might be able to assist... clearly nothing urgent or confidential. I told her to call back later.

They rang me again today, and I was ready for it this time. The bloke, called Mohammed, claimed he was ringing from SouthWest Water and wanted to chat about a call I supposedly made to them earlier this month. I did a 1471 check, same number as Saturday, turns out it’s BMG Research. I’m definitely reporting these bloody nuisances for harassment.

Got a call from a woman who kept telling me she was from the UK government. She went on about pensions and asked for loads of personal info. When I told her I wasn’t comfortable sharing anything, she just ended the call straight away.

I messaged them on the 21st and they called once again today. Luckily my phone was busy, so they didn’t drop any voicemail. I looked up their number in my call history.

My lad picked up the phone since we were out, and they said they’d ring again. I looked up 1471, and it’s some survey line. I’m definatley going to report them to the TPS as we don’t accept any dodgy calls. Proper annoying, honestly thought I’d left all this behind when I moved. We’ve been here two years with no bother, so I’m knackered wondering who’s shared my number for these surveys. Proper pissed off!

Guy claimed he was from the Enterprise Research Centre and asked me to do a survey. Told him I’d had a rough day and wasn’t up for it, but he offered to ring back on Friday. When he asked what time, I said morning, he suggested 9.30, and I agreed. Now I'll just be more cautious and nicely say no when he calls.
