Got a couple of calls from this number yesterday, it wasn’t saved in my phone. I picked up and the call dropped straight away. Seems pretty dodgy to me, probably some kind of scam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked them.

Got loads of calls from a Birmingham number starting with 274 over the past few days. The person on the line oddly pronounced my name in an Asian accent, which was a bit unsettling since they obviously knew it. The voice also sounded pretty robotic, like it had been run through some voice changer. I've decided to block all of those numbers now.

So sneaky! They called, acting like they were from O2, saying my contract had expired and I had to switch to a new deal to keep my number.

I told them I knew they weren’t really O2 and asked them to delete my number from their records - then they just hung up on me.

this bloke called saying he was from o2 about my airtime needing renewing, which is actually due in 2025. I told him to jog on and start multiplying, he kept on saying no no no, I just kept going yes yes yes and then shut him down.

This guy calling as ‘William’, sounded Asian, kept asking for ‘David’. When I asked him who he was, he said he was ‘William’ from some place called ‘House and Home’. Then he wanted me to answer some ‘brand questions’ because apparently David wasn’t around. I said no and he got pretty annoyed with me.

Over the past few days, I've been getting calls from so many Birmingham area codes. The weird thing is, I don’t even live in the UK, so there’s no reason why someone from Birmingham would ring me. When I looked up a few of the numbers, they all turned out to be linked to scams. Pretty sure this is just another scam trying its luck.

Got loads of calls from different Birmingham 274 numbers on my unlisted phone, always cold callers and never leaving a voicemail. They use some kind of auto dialer, and if you pick up, they pass you on to whoever’s ready to scam you next. Honestly, best to just ignore these calls, nothing positive ever comes from them.
