Got a call from someone claiming to be from Trade Centre UK in Wednesbury, saying they were updating me about the repairs on my car, which is with them at the moment. Seemed like they were just keeping me in the loop about what's happening with the vehicle.

Got a call from a number that showed up as Edu HR on my phone. The bloke on the line said they were from XEPOS, which is actually a dodgy firm (just have a look at Trustpilot to see all the horror stories). They were trying to pitch some free website deal.

I told him to stop right there because they’d already conned me out of £550.

Then he asked if I was Mohammed and mentioned another business name. I told him he’d got the wrong number and the call was quickly cut off.

Looks like from other reports, they’re running multiple scams like this.

I usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers and it was a good move not to pick up this time. I checked the number on a few different websites and every single one said it was a scam. Glad I didn’t get caught out!

I got a call today from some bloke I didn’t know, trying to get me into trading. He said I only needed about £100 to get going and that it was easy. Honestly, watch out - this guy’s a proper scammer. If you give him any cash, it’ll just vanish and you’ll never hear a word from him afterwards!

Some bloke with a thick accent called and even said my name! I cut him off and told him to remove me from whatever list he's got me on. He just wouldn’t listen and said he'd be ringing me daily. I ended the call - but seriously, who’s meant to put a stop to this kind of nonsense?
