I think this is related to Santander’s collections department, but I’m a bit confused about whether it pertains to a credit card issue or a banking matter. Anyone have any insights?

This number rings me two to three times each day. However, we choose not to answer as we're unfamiliar with it. We certainly have no outstanding debts with Santander at all.

We’ve been informed by Santander Customer Services that this could very well be a phoney call. It’s advisable not to engage with it! Santander Bank has distanced themselves from any liability regarding this. Please ensure you get it blocked! We’re noticing these dodgy calls using various numbers as well, particularly starting with 0203, 0161, or 0121. They’re all fraudulent. Do not attempt to return their call. These callers mimic the authentic recorded messages perfectly, but rest assured, they are imposters! Make sure to find your own legitimate contact information for Santander to verify any genuine communications from them. Best of luck to you! Caller: counterfeit Santander.

Indeed, we received a recorded message from this number, so we swiftly decided not to engage. If a number isn't stored in our contacts, it simply goes unanswered!

Absolutely, this number is just one of various lines used by different branches of Santander. What’s particularly frustrating is that (a) this number was designated specifically for communicating about a passing and the management of the deceased's affairs. It was supposedly meant to be unlisted, so one has to question how Santander acquired it. Furthermore, the purported debt they keep phoning about has no connection whatsoever to this number. They've assured me that the number will be taken off their system. You can probably figure out the rest!

I haven't the faintest idea who owns this number, yet it keeps ringing me up to four or five times daily. I've had enough, so I've gone ahead and blocked it. Utter nuisances!

What on earth is with these calls? I’m not in arrears with anyone, and I certainly haven’t noticed anything amiss in our bank account.
