I got two calls from this number today, both times they said they were from the tech team. The first caller was an Indian woman, and the second one was an Indian man. When I asked if they were really from the company, I requested my account number and address for proof. The man said he didn’t have that information and ended the call. This kind of thing has been happening to me several times over the past month or so.

Told me if I switched on my PC he could sort it, otherwise BT would send an engineer over - he even knew my address! Sounded so convincing, could easily trick someone. I played along for a few mins then just ended the call. Seriously, don’t trust these lot.

I’ve got a phone that shows who’s calling, so I just ignore any calls if the number’s not recognised or doesn’t have a name on it. It’s a lifesaver when you get all those annoying unwanted calls. If it’s something important, they usually leave a message on my answerphone anyway. Definitely suggest getting one if you’re fed up with being bothered!
