I rang the number back and got a robotic voice saying, "The number you tried is unrecognised. Please double-check and try again." Sounds like one of those common scams with a spoofed caller ID.

I received an unsolicited call about a vehicle collision. The automated message claimed they were aware I had been involved in an accident and requested that I verify the date. When I expressed my doubts, saying, "If you're aware of my accident, why are you calling me?" the representative became rather flustered, trying to spin it as merely a confirmation inquiry. I quickly set her straight, stating, "This is clearly an unlawful cold call, and you’re violating the regulations!" She began to stammer out apologies, but I firmly instructed her to take my number off their lists or face potential legal consequences, and then, I hung up. It’s rather disheartening to think there are unsuspecting individuals who might be lured in by such dubious tactics.
