Got a call from Connect Telecoms claiming it wasn’t a sales pitch and that they were just nearby wanting to help me save some cash. Honestly, they were pretty aggressive about it.

I’d strongly advise blocking this number. They claim to be ringing from BT, saying they’ve got someone in my vicinity who can potentially save me up to 56% on my current landline and broadband charges. How on earth can they make such an assertion without knowing what I’m currently paying? The caller mentioned I have a retail account with them, but I can assure you I don’t. He didn’t even know my name and called my mobile instead of my landline. If they genuinely know how they could slash my bill, why don’t they know who I am or take the effort to ring my landline? It’s clearly a scam. I’d recommend telling them to get lost and definitely blocking their number. It’s absolutely astonishing that in this day and age, we’re still being bombarded by such dodgy callers. Just leave me alone!

This number has been ringing me, typically around the late hours. It only seems to ring a couple of times before cutting off. Quite unsettling, really!

Got a missed call on my phone from this number but they didn’t leave a message. If it’s that firm promising cheaper BT bills, i already told them to leave me alone back in October. One of their people got rude when i said no, and another eventually said I was off their calling list. If it’s them again, this time i’m definitely going to report it!

It was a call centre, but I put the phone down straight away.

I got a call from somewhere saying something like “connect” or along those lines, about some deal with “cutting down BT bills” or whatever. Not too sure what it was really about.
