This number has been ringing non-stop for me since last week. The person who called said he was from PTS management and sounded like an Asian gentleman. When my wife told him she didn’t have a bank card, he got upset and kept pushing her to check her cheque book for bank info. I picked up a few times too and just stayed calm, refusing to believe what he was saying. That seemed to annoy him, and he eventually hung up. One call I answered just had weird music and talking in the background, no one actually speaking to me.

I received a call claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management, though they didn't mention TPS, and apparently they're situated in West London. I pressed the caller for more details, and they stated their number was 02036211517. However, when I rang 1471 to check, it revealed a different number: 01212366945.

It's clearly a dodgy operation, as they promptly ended the call when I continued to probe them.

Called me at precisely 10:20 in the morning on the 1st of October, 2018. I didn't pick up. I did a 1471 to trace the number and then searched for it on Google. After reading various comments, I've decided I won't be answering any calls from this number again, now that I've realised it's a total scam.

Got a bunch of calls on 29th Sept, like eight of them, and just picked up another one today (1/10/18). They say they're from the Telephone Preference Service, but that makes no sence if they're reaching out uninvited like this, right?

Earlier today around half eleven, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who claimed he was calling from the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). He asked if I was getting any unwanted phone calls, to which I replied, "Yeah, and you’re part of the problem." I then let a few swear words fly before ending the call. That number’s now firmly on my blocked list.

Over the last few days, this number has phoned me about eight times. They say they offer a service to stop nuisance calls. When I called them out on it and reminded them that cold calling is against the rules, they said I was already one of their customers, then just hung up. The next time they rang, I said I'd use 1471 to get their Birmingham number and report them, and they quickly ended the call. Maybe next time I'll humour them a bit to see what they're really after - probably money - and I'll make sure to waste as much of their time as I can!

My home phone’s been ringing five times today from this number. Every time I answer, it’s dead quiet for a bit, then out of nowhere, they just say goodbye and hang up! Honestly, it’s really worrying - if someone with serious asthma or another health issue picked up, this could trigger a bad reaction. Since about 9:30 this morning, I've gotten nearly an hour's worth of calls from someone saying they're with telephone preference management. I've told them we’re already on the telephone preference service each time. This is the 7th call now! I even left a comment here after the fifth call, and for the last two, I actually managed to have a chat with someone. Proper annoying!

Got a call from a bloke saying he was with the telephone preference service. He already had my name and where I live, plus my phone number like it was nothing. Then he asked if I usually pay my phone bills by direct debit, and even said the last 3 numbers of a card which was expired. I told him I was hanging up straight away. Got a couple of missed calls from this number earlier. Later, some bloke with an Asian accent rang saying he was from a call blocking service on behalf of my phone provider. He then claimed I pay them by direct debit (isn't that normal for most?). Said my bank card had expired and wanted the code on the card along with my name.
