Got a call on my mobile tonight and they used my first name even though the account's under my husband's name, but I handle the payments. They were asking about an accident supposedly in the last couple of years which I haven’t had. When I told her that, she just said fine and that they'd remove my number from their list. Something felt off though - when I said I never had an accident, she then asked if anyone on my insurance policy had one. Also, she refused to give me my own surname, citing "data protection" reasons, which was a bit strange.

Had a bad run in with First Direct, would steer clear of them, they're nothing but scammers.

I got one of those annoying robo calls claiming I’d had a car crash recently. Honestly, no idea where they dig up this stuff, cos I haven’t been in any accident for decades! It’s so frustrating trying to get them to remove me from their list, only for another caller to ring up straight after. Who’s selling our info like that? Proper irritating!
