Somebody rang me saying they were from British Gas, but they had a really strong Indian accent.

They called about gas and electric, but didn’t even get the business info right. Then started asking for the owner’s contact, like that was no big deal. When I said no, they acted all shocked. Really pushy and didn’t seem to know what they were doing at all.

The caller had a strong Asian accent and kept calling my wife "Mr," which was a bit odd. He said he was "David" from Flow Energy - the company we used to be with, but he was asking for me instead. I ended the call nicely after that.

I got a call from 0121212121 claiming to be from TalkTalk. A man was on the line telling me there was some kind of dangerous virus on my PC! I told him I don’t use TalkTalk for my internet - I’m with BT - but he kept insisting I did. I told him he was a scammer, and he had the nerve to say I was trying to scam him! Can you imagine? Then he just hung up. Stay away from these dodgy calls!

I recently received a phone call from a private investigations firm based in Birmingham that purports to assist individuals in reclaiming funds from mis-sold policies. It's worth looking them up online. However, I found it rather puzzling when they rang my number asking about a woman who hasn’t resided here in over a decade. It seems their records might be rather outdated!

This number keeps ringing me up all the time, like every 60 minutes or so. I told them to quit calling but they just went on annoying me more often, like it was some kind of payback or something. Do yourself a favour and block it straight away.

I told the person on the phone that I'd already told them to stop calling and to take my number off their list. They just said, "I’ll never do that." I wasn’t very polite after that. Following that chat, I got about 10 calls from the same number but no one spoke. It was pretty annoying, but at least it meant they weren't bothering others. Thankfully, they haven’t called me since.

Yesterday this number called me like 17 times, and since I was expecting a plumber to ring, I had to pick up every time. Today, the first call came through around half ten in the morning. Usually there’s no one there, or it’s some survey or just annoying noise from a call centre.
