I rang back since the number looked like it was nearby, but it just went to voicemail of some bloke called “pharell shakey” haha. After a quick google of the digits, I found this site. Dodgy scam, so I’ve blocked the sods.

Avoid answering 0121 204 7606 at all costs, it's a total scam. They’ll ring you and then just hang up. Best thing is to block the number straight away. Don’t get caught out!

Absolute con job, honestly. Sometimes I wonder if I should just play along with their whole car crash tale and be like, "Show me some proof! There’s no body left - so where’s the evidence?" and just mess with them a bit, haha. Not that I actually would, just thinking aloud. Total rubbish, really.

Just got a call from someone saying I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. Thing is, I don’t even own a car or drive here in the UK. Sounds like a total scam, probably fishing for personal stuff like insurance info, full names, or credit card details. Watch out, it’s definitely dodgy!

someone called me claiming i’d been in a car crash which was totally untrue. where are they getting their info from? i explained that i’ve not had any accidents and asked them to take my number off their list and not bother me again.

After seeing what others wrote here, my phone flagged it as a scam and I went ahead and blocked it straight away!
